Stopping of Aswan: In High-Egypt, on the Nile, connected by the road and the railroads to Cairo. Site of a stopping initially built in 1902 then in 1959. This gigantic work (111m top) which created the lake Nasser (157 billion cubic meter of reserve for approximately 4 000 km², 500 km length and 8 km broad) product 10 GigaWatt per annum and makes cultivable 500 000 ha of ground of which 300 000 are irrigated permanently thanks to the constant flow that it ensures.
